Curriculum

St. Xavier’s School, follow the CBSE syllabus and prepares students for the all India Secondary School Certificate Examination (AISSE), CBSE- New Delhi. English is the language of communication and medium of instruction. Hindi is taught as Second language from standard I – X and Bodo/Assames as the third language form standard I -VIII.

Co-Education

It has been a conscious decision to make St. Xavier’s School, a Co-educational institution. The primary reason for getting siblings or friends to learn to grow together in the most natural way is to groom young boys and girls in social skills. While endowing both genders with a sense of equity, it imparts a sense of mutual respect for each other’s space. It has been proven by social scientists that individuals who have been brought up with a liberal mix of genders are brighter, more independent, resourceful, confident and can adapt to any environment.

Methodology

St. Xavier’s School, has adopted the time-tested world-class comprehensive system of teaching and philosophy for children programme of the Montclair State University, USA, within the frame work of the academic syllabus and existing curriculum of the CBSE, for Class I to X and early Childhood Learning (Kindergarten)

Visitation

The First Sunday and 3rd Saturday of every month is designated as “Visiting Day’. This system is introduced to ensure that students do not feel homesick and can devote time and attention to school activity with a minimum distraction. Only parents/guardians and individuals authorized in writing by the former are permitted to meet the student on campus.
